Wylie, TX Child John Doe
Wylie's Angel Report a Tip

Police: Little Boy Required Extensive Medical Care

Police believe the unknown boy, aged between 5 and 7 years old, had significant medical needs and showed signs of being fed through a feeding tube.

Police in Wylie, Texas, desperately need the public's help to identify a little boy found in the 1900 block of Skyview Drive near Lake Lavon.

The Collin County Medical Examiner was able to establish that the victim is a white male between the ages of 5 and 7. The child is described as having brown hair and brown eyes, standing at approximately 3 feet 3 inches tall and weighing around 28 pounds.

Authorities say it appears the child had significant medical needs and was deceased for less than 24 hours when his body was found April 15, 2010, around 9:10 a.m.

One unique clue in the John Doe case is that the child shows signs of being fed through a feeding tube.

The Collin County Child Abuse Task Force is asking that any persons with information about the identity of the child to come forward. They are specifically targeting in-home health care providers, school personnel, daycare personnel and community-based social service providers since the child required extensive medical care.

Residents in the quiet town have been so touched by the case that they have dubbed the unidentified child as "Wylie's Angel."
